On July 17, 2012 Freedom Youth Project attended the Human Trafficking Press Conference held by Faces Of Child Abuse & Trafficking in America Task Force.The conference, which was held at Cameo Theater in Downtown San Antonio, Texas was sponsored by Paola Garcia, President of Face of Child Abuse and Yvonne Williams, founder of Trafficking In America Task Force.  Their purpose was to increase aware of Human Trafficking in Texas. Speakers and topics included were: "Yvonne Williams, Executive Director of Trafficking In America Task Force presenting on The Face of Human Trafficking in America; Melissa Woodward, Survivor-Founder and Executive Director of For the Sake of One presenting on Predator vs Prey; Cheryl Briggs, Survivor- Founder and Executive Director of Mission at Serenity Ranch presenting on The Importance of Developing Best Practices for Minor Safe Houses; Jacqueline L. Walter, Program Coordinator with Center for Women in Church and Society presenting on Bringing the Issue of Human Trafficking to the Forefront of Public Consciousness Through Education;  and Sergeant Bill Grayson, Human Trafficking Supervisor with the Special Victims Unit SAPD presenting on Human Trafficking Investigations & Teambuilding for organizations who respond."
