April 27 was Human Trafficking Awareness Day at the Texas Capitol. Sen. Leticia Van De Putte, Sen. Senfronia Thompson and Attorney General Greg Abbott gathered on the steps of the Capitol to different organizations and supporters of the anti human trafficking movement. They spoke on the many changes that have happened recently in Human Trafficking legislation and encouraged supporters to continue to push legislation that would be an end to human trafficking. Social service organizations and law enforcement from around the state of Texas gathered to network and support the movement.
