The Human Trafficking Prevention Task Force Meeting, offered by the Texas Attorney General, gathered efforts from law enforcement, social services, health care providers, legislators, lawyers and others to work towards improving legislation with anti human trafficking laws. Three different sessions provided attendees with information on past legislative work against human trafficking, and also information on future legislative goals. Several students spoke on their "alternative spring break" trip and their work to learn more about human trafficking. Ultimately, recommendations were heard from all attendees on how to improve legislation to increase penalties for traffickers, and increase services for victims.
