State Department and Latin American Delegation Training

On June 19, 2015, Freedom Youth Project Foundation (FYP) welcomed the
State Department and The Latin American Delegation from Argentina, The Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Perú, Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, Costa Rica and Cuba.  The morning started with a training, provided by FYP CEO Saul Castellanos, on the issue of Human Trafficking Prevention.  This was followed by a Panel of Experts, representing SAPD/FBI, Homeland Security/ICE, Juvenile Probation and the Gang Task Force, the Rape Crisis Center, RAICES, and FYP.


In addition to the Latin American Delegates, member of the Armed Forces attending the trainings.  Ample time was provided for questions to the panel.  The event ended with a luncheon for continued networking and enjoyment.

Freedom Youth Project Foundation presented on the topic of human trafficking to the PTA at Sky Harbor Elementary School. The purpose of the presentation was to build awareness of human trafficking and provide parents with prevention strategies to help protect children from being trafficked.

4/29/2014 FYP Human Trafficking Table at Magik Theatre

Freedom Youth Project Foundation was honored to participate in an event at the Magic Theatre which featured a performance by The Guild. The purpose of the performance was to help build awareness of human trafficking in the community. Freedom Youth Project Foundation was able to set up table where guests could come to learn more about the issues surrounding human trafficking. You can read more about the performance here.

Freedom Youth Project Foundation joined the Junior League of San Antonio at Bright Shawl to discuss the issues of human trafficking.

"The Junior League of San Antonio, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable."

2/27/2014 Freedom-U Inauguration

We are excited to announce that Freedom Youth Project Foundation in partnership with Our Lady of the Lake University inaugurated the first official Freedom-U Student Anti-Trafficking Movement this past Thursday. The main goals of this event were to make university and college students aware of what human trafficking is and how they can get involved to help combat human trafficking of youth. Students were also able to speak with agencies involved in the human trafficking sector to learn more about the work they do combating human trafficking. We are so thankful to all those who were involved to make this event a success and to all those who attended. 11/23/2013 Think Freedom Children's Charity Motorcycle Ride

Freedom Youth Project Foundation hosted the Think Freedom Children's Charity Motorcycle Ride on Nov. 23, 2013 at Caliente Harley-Davidson in San Antonio, TX. It was a community wide event aimed at raising funds to go towards Public Awareness, Prevention, and Restoration of Youth. The event was a great opportunity to reach out to the community and build awareness about the issues of human trafficking and brought together volunteers from different organizations and universities. We are so grateful to all our volunteers, Bikers Against Child Abuse, and Caliente Harley-Davidson for supporting us in this event.

Freedom Youth Project presented the Ladies Group in San Antonio on the issues of domestic minor sex trafficking. They ladies were moved and were excited about the opportunity of getting involved to help with the mission of Freedom Youth Project Foundation. We were so thankful for the opportunity to present and for such an open and helpful response.

Freedom Youth Project Foundation attended St. Mary Magdalen Church's Respect Life Mass & For Life Fair on October 5, 2013. The Mass was presented by the Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller. Freedom Youth project was honored to be a part of this great cause and to enjoy the fellowship of church members. 


9/24/2013 - Cornerstone's Big Night Event

Cornerstone's Big Night was a night to remember for all those in attendance. It was a wonderful experience of fellowship, worship, connection, and a powerful message from Susan Norris, author of "Rescuing Hope." We were grateful to be a part of such a "Big Night" and were thankful for the opportunity to connect with those who are passionate about putting an end to sex trafficking of children.

Freedom Youth Project was honored to be a part of the Children's Summit: A Conference on Child Abuse & Children's Mental Health. Saul Castellanos and Nilda Castellanos spoke the issues on human trafficking as part of a two-day conference. Other presenters included authors Pete Earley and William P. Young, author of The Shack.
