-Foster Care

LnP is being adapted for Foster Care. Why is this so important? In the trafficking world, foster children have among the highest probability of becoming the next victims of DMST or Domestic Minor Sex-Trafficking. These children are often coming out of an environment where they were sexually abused in their homes. Even though being removed from such an abusive environment is in their best interest, children most often  react negatively to this kind of change. Parents, no matter how abusive, are still family to these children.  It is also possible and likely that children are placed separately from one or more of their siblings. Perhaps the single most difficult change to deal with is being moved from a home with marginal parenting, rules or structure into a new place with all of these implemented at once.

Foster children quite often run away, which puts them on the streets, which is where predators seeking to traffick youths will find them as easy targets. This adaptation of LnP training will be designed specifically to address the mindset of pre-teens and youth who are experiencing these kinds of difficult transitions. Because LnP training is designed to teach how "choices" are an important part of becoming a victim, it will be a good fit for this audience.

Trainings will be designed for the following audiences:
  • Foster Care Agencies
  • Foster Parents
  • Foster Children
  • Foster Children in Residential Facilities
